I miss Keith - Any suggestions?
Edited on Sun Jul-24-11 04:00 PM by GreenTea
My fucking Texas based cable company, Suddenlink (I live in Humboldt County, CA 220 miles north of hometown San Francisco) refuses to offer Current TV - they also refuse to offer the excellent Free Speech TV (FSTV) though many here have asked for both over & over again, we are the ones (subscribers) who pay their bills and make Suddenlink their profits here in Humboldt....

Why Suddenlink cable is even in Humboldt County I can't tell you.....Right-wing CEO & Suddenlink is from & around the Texas area and some southern states....but for some reason Suddenlink has one and only one cable area monopoly in a far off place away from their base of Texas - which is, yes, Humboldt County, CA (in northern CA).....Maybe they think they can transform us liberals here in progressive Humboldt County into Murdoch's republican propaganda Fox "news" watching idiots ....Aint gonna happen dudes!

However, I do get Bill Maher (Real Time) on HBO -now that Maher is on every week I subscribe to HBO....and of course Jon Stewart's Daily Show....but mostly at night I listen to the great Mike Malloy (six to nine Pacific) on our local liberal AM radio channel here in Humboldt ....(or I listen to Malloy on Roku "Tune-in") I do get a lot of politics, I record Rachel & others on MSNBC each night to watch at my convenience.

Still, it looks like I'll have to go back to over-charging Satellite to be able to receive channels I really want Current TV & FSTV & Link TV - Dish actually charges more if one wants to receive MSNBC - Fox of course is on Dish' cheapest package....I was hoping Current TV & FSTV would put channels on Roku, but no signs of that....any other suggestions?

Cenk stood up to the corporate media's offer of gold or lead.
I can't get Free Speech TV on my cable - what happened to all the competing choices the Telecommunications Act was going to bring???
