Harry Potter vs. the Ministry and Obama vs. the GOP: a sense of false security.
At one point the minister asks Harry to help put up a front to keep people pacified. Harry balks at this attempt to create a false sense of security. He refuses to help, saying, “You see, I don’t like some of the things the Ministry’s doing.”

In a sense, Obama has followed Harry's path because he has used (or was forced to use) this "crisis" to try to get something done rather than pacify our need for an orderly rubber stamp of GOP's demands. Of course, Harry is just a fictional character. But don't you think that there is a little bit of Voldemort in every Tea Party nut bagger?
