Republicans are sabotaging the recovery!!
This should be the Democratic talking point pounded away at daily. From the governors
who refuse stimulus funds thereby denying their citizens jobs (high speed rail) to the forceful cutting of government
agency funds that cause less outlays down the food chain, to the actual cutting of government jobs, Republicans are contributing to unemployment with their ill-considered policies and not helping anyone.

Republicans are sabotaging the recovery!!

5. The Dems have a message - they have no media echo chamber
When I hear people say the Dems have no message or 'use this message', my first thought is of the tree making a noise in the forest.
Dems have and have had great messages. They just have no one that will carry it and repeat it over and over to infinity like a certain other party that owns 95% of the media.
And even the media they don't own (NPR) is either coerced or uses their talking points.

Dems have been talking and talking and talking about Repubs sabotaging the economy. I hear it on Thom Hartmann and Stephanie Miller and Ed Schultz all the time.

8. Repubs sabotaging the economy ... 100% correct
Edited on Wed Jun-22-11 09:45 AM by MacNfries
Repubs know the public has turned on them since the 2010 elections ... they have NO platform other than more "tax cuts for the wealthy & corporations" ... they're stuck in the 80's as Reagan's economic adviser said of Repubs on Sunday.

In North Carolina, the Republican General Assembly held the unemployment checks hostage for over 2 months trying to get the Democratic governor to support their cuts to state education. The Governor went on TV news and told the Press this was what the Republicans were doing ... that's getting the word out. The Repubs began, 2 weeks ago, releasing the unemployment checks again. NC voters in the state were highly pissed at the Repubs.

6. The voters may see that
Usually they are thought to be dumb, but the Republicans are getting too "brave" about their real agenda of cutting the social safety net to shreds. I don't think most Americans really cater to that. Republicans are better off with their racist whistles. Fortunately, they are getting brazen and tipping their hand for real.
