When pigs fly.

This was so much worse than a standard affair.

If only he'd shown his wang in person --then it would be okay.

:banghead:

Why don't we just get this all over with and just give Joe Lieberman the damned keys to the party. whenever anything gets tough, instead of just saying, "you know sh*t happens, i have an economy to run and some wars to end...", we end up with ethics investigations, lots of furtive language about the dignity of congress...

Democratic leadership is so damned afraid about what DC pundits say about them --and what we say? The people who vote and donate? What the f- do we matter? Who do we think we are? Jake Tapper?

5. They can vote themselves a pay raise. But no way can
they give themselves dignity. That needs to be earned and they haven't done that.

2. what about the ones who've shown their erect penis to the entire world?
Or should they all whip it out and let us see their hards-on? After all, it's nothing, right? Would that really acceptable to you? What if you'd seen Boehner's boner? Would you wag that one off too?

7. Yup
It's about a good six and a half inches, with about five and a half inches in circumference. He's in pretty good shape with little body fat and his balls are pretty nice sized, about an inch and a quarter or so in diameter. His pubic hair isn't in need of much of a trim. He's been circumcised and the glans is notably larger than the shaft. Do you want to see it? I can show you weiner's weiner, but all you have to do is google it with safe search off, because it's publicly viewable all over the world.

He posted his cock shot onto a public web site, as he himself stated. That is, de facto, the entire world. If you're relying on reports that he sent it to one person only, you are being misled. Go to the web site he used, http://www.yfrog.com and look at the pics millions of others are posting in the same place.

He's toast. Nice boehner, but he's toast.

3. Maybe, at some unspecified future date, she'll call for Clarence Thomas to resign.
Really allowing the other team to call the shots here, Nancy. Not necessary. Not a good move.

6. Painful to watch Democrats joining in the ridiculous and sickening witch hunt.

Media-orchestrated poutrage while the real issues are being ignored.

A new low, imo.

12. LITMUS TEST: i dont give a crap
if the Democrats didn't want to talk about this for two weeks, it wouldn't have been talked about for two weeks.

let them give their advice to him in private, i mean, unless they are just trying to politically minimize the damage from this. BTW, they won't.

14. You have to know that Weiner has been subjected to a steady stream of serious conversations
with increasingly high ranking Democratic leaders behind those closed doors. This is what it took...a public call for him to do what's right. No shame, apparently.

as if Democrats wouldn't know cheating on your spouse is wrong were it not for Lieberman's public lecturing and public disappointment about Clinton.

25. Actually having an affair most people can understand.. but what Weiner was doing..
is seen as weird and perverse by most "normal" people. There is also the real possibility that he was using congressional office equipment to do this stuff which is a serious violation.

29. This is the stupidest goddamn scandal ever.
Is Anthony Wiener an idiot for sexting over Twitter? Yes. Is he an idiot and a creep for randomly sexting people? Yes. Is he anywhere near the most loathsome person in Congress? No. All this false, two-faced piety makes me sick. This country seriously needs to re-examine it's goddamn priorities.

The worst part about this is that we're losing one of our most outspoken voices against the status quo. Even if he doesn't resign, it'll be years before anyone will even have him on TV again. That's why I was so prepared to believe it was a setup. Someone wanted him to shut up and this was how they were going to shut him up. And then it turned out that, no, he's just weird, and not in a charming way.

Shit like this is why I consider myself an anarchist more and more every day. Our representative democracy has turned into an ineffective, corrupt, byzantine joke. Though I suppose we've made progress; when the capital-B Byzantines usurped an emperor, he'd be ritually blinded, as sight was a legal prerequisite for holding the throne. Now we just turn a microscope on their life and shame them into political exile.
