President Obama drops his BlackBerry and his approval rating.

President Barack Obama's approval rating has slipped to 48 per cent - ending the so called 'Osama bounce'.

The President had enjoyed a near-record high of 51 per cent in the days following the death of Osama bin Laden on May 2. But, with many Americans focused on rising gas prices, high unemployment and a troubled economy, Mr Obama has been swiftly brought back to reality with a bump, according to the latest set of Gallup poll numbers.

And his BlackBerry smartphone met a similar fate today, as the President dropped it on an air base taxi way as he was rushing to meet military personnel and well-wishers in flood-affected Memphis.

Mr Obama was making his way across the taxiway at the Air National Guard base in Tennessee when he suffered every networker's nightmare - watching his BlackBerry smartphone fly out of his grasp and clutter onto the ground.

Eventually he will drop BlackBerry all together. A lot of tech analysts say they are doomed.

3. They have tighter security controls.
POTUS shouldn't be using a smartphone that doesn't have end to end message encryption, or private messaging servers. That rules out just about everything besides blackberry.

4. Anything around 45% approval is great and good enough to win.
Another bin Laden bounce will occur when the movie is released just prior to the election.

are seen as the equivalent to actual public opinion!

If I call a particular zip code at a particular time and ask to speak
to the head of the household, I might get the poll results I want to too!
Ain't that neat?

That's why this country is so fucked up....we rely on insta polls from RW sources
to determine for us how we really feel about things. We deserve whatever we end up with....
that is a certainty, and I don't need a poll to know this.

But this article is ridiculous.

For starters, one poll indicating Obama's approval dropping a few points doesn't mean much. His overall approval average is still 51%.

Secondly, 51% is nowhere near his record high. He was pushing close to 70% at the start of his presidency.
