IMO Bush should get the lions share of the credit for getting bin Laden...
His strategy worked to perfection...

He realized how incompetent and ideologically blinded he and his subordinates were...so he decided just to give up on getting bin Laden and wait for a more competent, intelligent and mature successor to do it for him...

Brilliant!!!
