Now it's time for ALL troops in Afghanistan to come home immediately
This should also include all contractors, mercenaries and anybody associated with the US government except for a few diplomats.

Well done guys. Mission accomplished.

2. When did YOU become POTUS????

Easy to sit back in your comfie chair making decisions that you don't have to be responsible for.

President Obama has continued missions because ending them would have caused more deaths to innocents than withdrawing. He'll do the same now...be more concerned about peoples lives than whining lefties.

3. Obama has a moment of opportunity to claim real "mission accomplished"...
and seriously enhance deescalation efforts. I suspect he'll do just that.

9. What an absurd remark. You mean we don't have enough people out of work
to build homes & feed the poor, without the military? I know you "probably" mean well, but what an absurd notion.

10. the soldiers are on a salary. they can be overseas, or work at home. this has
nothing to do with other people. What I'm saying is we spend billions of dollars on the military. Instead of having them overseas we could use their help here.

11. Pres. Obama has planned to withdraw from Afghanistan on schedule. Logistics preclude "ALL" at once.
Now people can get a clue as to why, since this Team Six op has been planned since August 2010. July is the date when the first combat troops begin withdrawing. I posted an OP months ago where it explained how Pres. Obama wanted to withdraw a large number of troops whereas the Pentagon brass was resistant. Well, it looks as if the Pentagon might rethink that opposition now.
