Republicans struggling with their economic talking points
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TALKING POINTS AND A JOBS AGENDA....

This is getting embarrassing.

Six weeks ago, Politico reported that the new House Republican majority realized "they're struggling with their economic message." Last week, Roll Call found those same Republicans are still struggling, but have a plan that includes "inserting the word 'jobs' into talking points."

Today we learn that Senate Republicans believe they might be able to put things right.

While Republicans keep up the drumbeat on budget cuts, Senate GOP leaders and freshmen agree: The party needs to better make their case to voters that reining in the national debt will create jobs.

Jobs strategy has been the subject of closed-door GOP meetings and strategy sessions.... As a reminder to talk up the connection between spending cuts and jobs creation back home during next week's recess, the Senate Republican Conference distributed a series of talking points on pocket-sized cards to the 47 GOP senators. <...>

When asked if the GOP needs to be talking more about jobs rather than purely cutting spending, Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) replied Thursday: "Absolutely."

Senate Republican Conference Chairman Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said that going forward, the party's priority list would be "No. 1 jobs, No. 2 debt."

That's nice, I suppose, but that pesky reality keeps getting in the way. Every Republican in both the House and Senate is on record supporting brutal budget cuts, all in the name of deficit reduction. There's a lengthy list of experts, including Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and researchers at Goldman Sachs, that concluded the GOP plan would cost the economy hundreds of thousands of jobs.

1. Talk is cheap
Every Democratic representative, should be stating how many jobs have been lost since the Repubs took over the house. Make them justify their ridiculous claims over and over.

2. They are just throwing "stupf" up in the air to see what sticks to the ceiling.
All they know how to do is complain. Every point they come up with gets knocked down.

I think they have in-fighting for Boehner's job. He can't walk and chew gum at the same time, so he's opted for battling to keep his cushy job, although I would imagine he has finally figured out it isn't as much fun as he thought it would be.

That party is like the Keystone Kops. No one has a clue.

3. It will be entertaining to watch them try to interject the word "jobs"...
and the concept of job growth into their rants about "Teh Gay", abortion, the muslin interloper and firing civil servants.

Remember folks, this is the party of "No"-no ideas, no empathy and no clue. They only "No" how to tear things down. With the exception of Mitt Romney (a vulture capitalist), even their most popular politicians have never done anything of merit outside the bubble of the GOP.

4. This sounds like something from the Onion
Next, Repukes will all change their middle names to "Jobs".

As in John Jobs Boehner, John Jobs Kyl, and Lamar Jobs Alexander.

Cool, huh?

Oh yeah, Dick Jobs Cheney.

5. They don't care about jobs or debt ... and they never have.
They care only about wealth.

6. What jobs do they plan on creating? The ones they cut when they reduce the budget?

7. Lemme have a try at it--
We're cutting jobs spending and dropping minimum wage laws so you can get all the jobs you want but don't expect to be paid any more than Steve Jobs pays those Chinese slaves that make his iPads.
