He basically said, these aren't hard cuts because the people being impacted can't fight back. The real fight is going after the rich and oil companies. So true.

I don't understand how we can start talking about fiscal responsibility w/o setting higher tax rates for the rich 1st.

Feel better about getting services cut. So it's a PR thing.

My gripe is that people actually believe taxing an extra 4% on income in the highest bracket will fix anything. That is too small to make a significant difference.
