1. It's because they are Photoshopped together on the cover of TIME
MSNBC always "previews" the latest TIME magazine on "Morning Scum." They talked about it a lot this morning. You can be sure it's just part of their deal.

4. Yea, can't really fault the media here
when Obama has made the comparison several times himself.

5. Reagan compared himself to FDR but undid much of the New Deal. Maybe Obama want to reverse that.
FDR liked to compare himself to Lincoln in order to make him a figure that could belong to both parties and thereby share his legacy with the democratic party. My point is that there's a long history of presidents poaching political icons from the other party in order to either undo their work or share in the legacy.

6. Reagan sucked.
He not only sucked as a president he sucked as a person. And I mean that in the most personal way possible.

7. Comparing need not mean total likeness
Compare and contrast.

Obama and Reagan have opposing political philosophies. But they are both good speakers.

I don't have to agree with Reagan's policies to admit he inspired people.

The right does the same thing when they don't agree with Obama but refuse to admit he can give a great speech and be inspiring.
