Will the democrats shot themselves in the foot like they did in Massachusetts when Brown was elected because the democrat running against him was a lightweight http://hotlineoncall.nationaljournal.com/archives/2011/01/bysiewicz-jumps.php

6. Susan Bysiewicz could easily win and would be a huge improvement over Lieberman.
At this point even a ham sandwich could defeat Joe Lieberman.

10. Why
Lieberman Is not a Democrat anymore. So why would he do that.It Is one thing to support an Incumbent senator of your party like he did
with Spector(after the switch) Lincoln and Bennet. So Inless Lieberman runs In Democratic Primary I don't see Obama offering any
support.

Back In 2006 as senator yes he did support Lieberman In primary but he supported Lamont after he won the primary.

11. Fair enough.
Feel free to bookmark this and come back and point out to me if I was wrong. I'll be happy to be. I don't think I will be, but it's yet another instance where I'll be happy to be wrong.

Back in 2006 he wasn't obsessively pursuing "bipartisanship" above all else. The only thing working against my prediction is that he'll be up for re-election and will want to turn out the base so maybe won't risk pissing off Democr.........oh fuck it. I can't even finish typing that without laughing.

13. Doesn't really matter - Lieberman has as close to 100% name recognition
and it is very likely that there are few voters without a strong impression. Remember that in 2006, before he supported McCain, every Senate Democrat except Kerry and Feingold supported him - and they stayed neutral. Bill Clinton gave him the best endorsement speech I have ever heard him give for anytone - it completely beat his speeches for Kerry and Gore - and of course, Dukakis. Lamont won the primary, even though he was essentially unknown.

14. Evidently you've never been to Massachusetts or met Martha Coakley.
She's the best AG the state's ever had. Her only problem was that she had no idea how to run a campaign.

19. Coakley was a lightweight? She is a great AG. She just thought Brown was a lightweight.
Big error, but that does not make her a lightweight.
