A multi-tasking Issa lies and redefines 'corrupt' on CNN

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), the newly-minted Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform was on CNN earlier today, redefining the word "corrupt" while lying about his past statements about the Obama White House:

JOHN KING: But you have called them corrupt, sir. You just twice used the word "misused." That's a judgement on your part and you will have subpoena power, you can have hearings, you can call up the witnesses and we will see what the evidence shows in the weeks and months ahead. Was it wrong to use the word "corrupt," which you have used repeatedly when you have not yet had a hearing?

DARRELL ISSA: I think people misunderstand the meaning of the word corrupt, and obviously CNN does. Corrupt, or corrupted, or failure. It's no different than a disk drive thats giving you some bits that are wrong. I've never said it's illegal, I've never made any of the statements that are often said on CNN, uh, that imply wrongdoing of the President at a criminal level.

1. Hmmmmm...........

You don't go on national tv accusing a Presidential Administration of being "the most corrupt administration in history" (paraphrasing) and then expect people to understand that you're just saying "some bits are wrong". How do you expect people NOT to hear you imply criminality when you say it that way? :shrug:

I guess this means that he really doesn't have anything meaty, at least not yet.

In any organization the size of the federal government, you can probably always find SOME wrongdoing SOMEWHERE. What is not always the case is that such wrongdoing is either widespread and/or sanctioned in some way by the Administration.

3. Then we shouldn't apologize for calling Issa a "crook" too!

When adequate investigations still haven't been done on his past that has far more pointers to criminal wrongdoing than anything Obama's done.

4. Issa is a complete buffoon. Keep him in front of the cameras as long as possible.

Because the longer people see Issa and the other assklowns of the GOP talk about crap they don't know about, they may want to switch parties in 2 years.
Or at least vote for a smarter assklown in 2012.
