Chuck Todd, Savannah Guthrie Launching "Daily Rundown," 9AM Show On MSNBC

Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie, NBC News' two White House Correspondents, are launching a 9AM show on MSNBC called "Daily Rundown," the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz reports.

The show will follow "Morning Joe;" Dylan Ratigan's show is widely expected to move to the afternoon to lead in to "Hardball."

The show "fits the rhythm of our day," Todd — who is the network's Chief White House Correspondent as well as its political director — told Kurtz. He envisions the show as "something that has the feel of a signature Washington show for us."

"Chuck and I have a great relationship, and we're hoping it will translate on the air," Guthrie told Kurtz. "It's a matter of making all the pieces fit together."

Todd was seen as a contender for David Gregory's

5. She's a lot smarter than chuckie. Maybe viewers could express their
opinions. I'd rather hear an hour from her than anything from chuckie.

11. Late afternoons will be the Attack of the Raging Egos -- MotormouthNBC
Pairing up Rattigan and Tweety followed by Big Ed will be Ego Central.

Three hosts who spebnd two minutes formulating a "question" to guests, endlessly restating at high decibels and rat-a-tat speed whatever point the host wants to make, and who then stop the guest after two seconds.

My ears hurt just thinking about it.

(I like Big Ed's progressive advocacy, but his interviewing style does tend to grate on me.)

As if the morning couldn't get any better than Dead Intern's show, adding a bunch of beltway types sitting around and chatting up the day's GOP talking points will bring even more value to MSNBC's lineup.
