Obama: Sarah Palin Challenge Isn't on His Mind
http://www.politicsdaily.com/2010/11/24/obama-says-hes-focused-on-presidency-not-sarah-palin-challen/

President Obama says he respects Sarah Palin's political skills but isn't spending time thinking about a possible challenge from her in the 2012 national election. The politics, he says, should "take care of itself."

"Obviously Sarah Palin has a strong base of support in the Republican Party and I respect those skills," Obama told
ABC's Barbara Walters in an interview that will air Friday. "But I spend most of my time right now on how I can be the best possible president. And my attitude has always been, from the day I started this job, that if I do a good job and if I'm delivering for the American people, the politics will take care of itself."

"I don't think about Sarah Palin," he said when asked directly if he thought he could beat her in 2012.

A post-election Qunnipiac University poll had Obama ahead of Palin in a hypothetical match-up, but in a dead heat with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney. Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate, recently told Walters she thinks she can defeat Obama if she decides to run two years from now.
