Tweety Nailed It Re: Republican Obstructionism
Edited on Mon Nov-22-10 06:22 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
The Republicans are going to oppose everything Obama tries to accomplish because it has served them so well so far up to opposing the START Treaty that is supported by former Republican Secretaries Of States like Henry Kissinger and James Baker. This is going to weaken America on the world stage.

What a mess...

1. Kissinger and Baker should talk to them.
Isn't there anyone in the Republican Party that understands how critical some of these votes are?

Imagine how bad things are going to get if/when Obama lets those tax cuts run out. I hope he does. Maybe they will get so bad we can charge them with treason.

6. Lugar does:
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member Richard Lugar is on fire -- telling his colleagues that the failure to ratify START will be enormously consequential to the 'real' national security interests of the United States.

4. That He Might Be
But his observation that the Republicans have benefited enormously by opposing everything Pres. Obama does seems fairly unassailable.

9. He's, (Matthews), had that monicker for quite some time...
From Urban Dictionary, (some of these fit Matthews to a tee):

1. Nickname for Chris Matthews, host of 'Hardball.' His staff nicknamed him Tweety Bird because of the shade of yellow he dyes his hair. First divulged at mediawhoresonline.com

7. an annoyingly chirpy bimbo who goes out with all your ex's.

5. They should be charged with malfeasance
and dereliction of duty if they aren't willing to govern, since that is what they were elected to do.
It is national security sabotage and economic sabotage.

It is time to start saying now that if there is a dirty bomb, it will be Republicans fault!

10. Let it backfire again...
:D

It was the catalyst that sent Gingrich and the GOP into a flaming tailspin. When the hubris of the Teabaggers is shown the reality of not getting their SS check, and Medicare is gone...all of those goomers will realize they are on the losing end of this situation...:D

11. I don't see how they could oppose a thing like that
without backlash. It makes their agenda obvious - that they don't care about the country at all.
