About her so called low poll numbers and she needs to be replaced because of it.First of the rethugs would have attacked anyone in her position even a blue dog that's what they do the media forgets they attacked both speakers Folly and Dashel the same way there attacking her the only difference is she's not backing down and going anywhere.

1. Lawrence O'Donnell pissed me off this evening when he went after George Mitchell
and Barbara Lee, trying to get them to agree that Pelosi is "too polarizing" to stay on as Minority Leader.

My response? Let's turn the question around:

John Boehner (sp?) has a *LOWER* approval rating than Nancy Pelosi. Does that mean that he shouldn't be Speaker of the House?

Larry, you make no fucking sense at all!!

3. Like I said, I wish they'd just said "No." when he asked if her approval ratings mattered.

4. Exactly! I understand that George Miller and Pelosi are good friends.
You're right. They should have just said "NO" that approval ratings don't matter in light of the concerted effort by Repukes to demonize Pelosi for so many years, and thanks to the Corporate Media who go along with whatever the Repukes say. I have not heard one so-called "journalist" in the Corporate Media stand up for the fact that Pelosi has been the most effective Speaker in decades.

5. George Miller.
There may or may not be some benefit to "new faces in the leadership," which was O'Donnell's point, but it's a gamble which could just as easily turn out bad. I'd personally stick with proven effective leadership.

6. Exactly! The Democrats are NOT the Tea Party! In this time of economic uncertainty
and all the challenges that we face, I'm not prepared to take a risk on unproven leadership. Like I said, if it ain't broken, then there's nothing to fix. If the Pelosi-Hoyer-Clyburn tripartite is effective, then why change?

7. If there's any change to be made, it should be Hoyer, not Pelosi.

2. It was disgusting watching alleged liberal Lawrence O'Donnell...
...insist that the Democrats he had as guests were "spinning" when they refused to acknowledge the importance of those polls. No, Lawrence, they weren't spinning. They just think you're WRONG.

I was also disappointed that neither of the two members of Congress just flat-out said that no, Pelosi's national approval ratings don't mean anything at all.
