Fight fire with napalm. Water does not seem to work.
Edited on Tue Nov-09-10 05:54 PM by ksoze
With the right wing media outlets winning the hearts of the mindless, it is apparent that facts are simply viewed as left wing excuses. Fact checking is lost in translation. The latest faux-flap over the purported cost of Obama's overseas visit is another nail in the coffin of an impartial media who actually sources stories prior to reporting it as fact. A rogue source in India can begin a lie that cannot be fully unwound once in the news stream which dominates our current media.

I say we do the same.

Why don't we start reporting items that can be "sourced" from any blogger with an internet connection. Let them do the leg work to disclaim them and then when debunked just say, "Hey, we just reported what we were told". I mean headlines like:

"Obama White House Wins Award for Greatest Leadership ever"

"Democrats set new records in keeping America safe"

"Republican congress members cost taxpayers $5 Billion more than democrats"

"Religious leaders say Obama has increased faith in God"

"New Majority leader victim of Agent Orange"

"Doctor says Republican thinking hampered by missing gene"

We need to fight fire with fire, because using water does not work on charred embers.
