Will there be an investigation that will satisfy Birthers?

1. Hell no.

They'll use the same tactics as they did during Clinton's term. One committee will start an "investigation" into Obama's birth certificate, receive ample & overwhelming proof as to it's authenticity with no evidence otherwise, close the "investigation" as inconclusive, then another committee will pick it up the next week.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

2. I've explained it this way, most likely futilely. What does anyone

have for a birth certificate, if they have one? It's the one the hospital gave their parents or a copy of it. There is no way to go back and get a more official one.
One thing I haven't seen are examples of other birth certificates from Hawaii from that period. I imagine they are about the same.
Obabma's was good enough to get a passport or whatever else he needed, long before anyone thought he might be President. Why should he need a better one now?

That aside, there's nothing that will mollify the birthers. They're mad a black man with a funny name is President and they can't change that.

After all, if Obama wasn't born in the US he can't be president so the election should have gone to McCain, who wasn't born in the US either so Queen Sarah gets to be pres!

And interestingly enough, they had no interest in McCain's birth certificate, or proof of his citizenship.

Notice no interest in Biden's either. And he'd be the President. But he'd be white. So he must be a citizen. Of course he is!
