Tea Party pumping up for 2012: Floats hit list of 'RINO' Senators
Edited on Fri Nov-05-10 08:27 PM by denem
As per Redstate "Potential Tea Party Targets for 2012"
http://www.redstate.com/erick/2010/11/03/potential-tea-party-targets-for-2012/

and CNN "2012 Senate battle already under way"
http://edition.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/11/05/senate.battle/

For the record, the purge could include

Scott Brown (MA)
Bob Corker (TN)
Orrin Hatch (UT)
Kay Bailey Hutchison (TX)
Richard Lugar (IN)
Olympia Snowe (ME)
Roger Wicker (MS)

DeMint says he is not supporting or recruiting challengers, "at this point", "but the people, I believe, will help us make those decisions."

Erickson is particularly bullish about Corker and Wicker but remains cautious about Snowe.

2. Here we go

Ideological purity...sorta like racial purity. If you are not 'with us' you are 'against us'.

The mentality that helps light the ovens at the camps. I do NOT mean to make light of the Holocaust at all, but the extermination of Jews

BEGAN WITH AN IDEA...that "seemed" fairly benign.

These people are very dangerous. Now, do I think they can make enough inroads to go to unseen extremes? No...but there were probably people in Germany around 1929 or 1930 who thought the same thing.

I am sorry. I don't mean to make light or be reactionary, but these people ARE FASCISTS, they want to REMOVE people who don't have their religion, their skin color, their heritage or their political perspective.

7. Are'nt Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, Alan West & Tim Scott all teabaggers?
Edited on Fri Nov-05-10 11:21 PM by golfguru
Rubio is Hispanic, Haley has Indian parents, West & Scott are both African-Americans.

So that explodes skin color & heritage as litmus tests.
So, it has to be strictly ideology.

3. Except Olympia Snowe, how are any of the people RINOs?
They all have strong Republican and Conservative credentials (including Lugar).

4. Brown in Mass?

They are going after him?

LMMFAO.

Didn't they get the memo...Mass is a state among the TOP level of all educational excellence.

You can slide a 'moderate' by them, but just try to Tea Bag em...

Brown's seat will return to the Democrats in 2012.

5. Scorched earth. They are not scorched earth types. Would
not refuse to raise the Federal Debt for example.

8. So Orrin Hatch isn't conservative enough for them?
Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 12:03 AM by raven42
That tells you how far-right these tea-party nuts are. Just when you think the republican party can't get any crazier--it does.

9. He was friends with Ted Kennedy - that's enough for 'em.
You have to hate the other side, not just vote against them.

13. Looking at the list of Senators in the OP...
I would think one would have to far out right wing to think of them as RINOs.
