Republicans huge dilemma: reality
They can't do shit, and I strongly encourage them to try to please the teabaggers. Mitch McConnell is having trouble dealing with reality.

Josh Marshall: Something To Prove

On McConnell, interesting to observe that the GOP minority leader who wasn't able to win a majority in his chamber (when it was clearly possible -- DE, NV, CO, WA) is the one who's now most hard charging and aggressive vis a vis Dems and Obama.

You Work For Me, Barack!

Mitch McConnell to John King on President Obama: "I'm on (his) speed dial now."

With the speech today and this, I just realized that McConnell doesn't realize he's not Senate Majority leader.

For all the trash-talk and political gamesmanship, there's more going on here. This guy is burned that John Boehner is in charge in January but he's not.

Boehner is having trouble dealing with Mitch McConnell's version of reality.

Boehner Distances Himself From McConnell's Goal Of A One-Term Obama Administration

House Speaker-to-be John Boehner put distance last night between himself and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has twice stated that a top political goal for the GOP is to make Barack Obama a one-term President.

"That's Senator McConnell's statement. And -- and his opinion. I think the American people want us to focus on their message during the election," Boehner said in an interview with ABC News.

Boehner's rhetoric has been generally milder than McConnell's since Tuesday's election. But that doesn't mean he's taking it easy on the Democrats.

"Well, I didn't see the President's press conference on Wednesday," Boehner said. "But I've read a little bit about it. And there seems to be some denial on the part of the President, and other Democrat leaders. The message that was sent by the American People. When you have the most historic election in over 60-70 years, you would think that the other party would understand that the American people have clearly repudiated the policies that they put forward the last two years."

If anything is certain about the next two years. it's that we'll be hearing the word "Democrat" (instead of "Democratic") used as an adjective a whole lot more.

The GOP/teabagger controlled House is likely to go off the rails, and for a brief moment, Mitch McConnell realizes he's not Senate Majority Leader.

Mitch McConnell: Rapid health repeal unlikely

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky conceded that a full repeal of the health care law won’t be possible in the short term but pledged that Republicans would use their new oversight powers in the House to keep pressure on the Obama administration and Democrats.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHA.

Always gotta love the spin.

Electing an African-American to the Presidency isn't the most historic? You think this typical turn of events somehow trumps that?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHA.
