or else Rand Paul can destroy the world. They just discussed this on MSNBC. Paul's self-righteous libertarian purity may crash head on into the reality of the need for a raise in the debt ceiling, among other things. Evidently, if we don't raise the debt ceiling, the US credit will crash and, with it, the global economy. Paul will have the power to put a hold on anything as a Senator. Sounds pretty dangerous to me unless they change those rules on day one.

But as a friends and I text and talk tonight - one made a good point.

"The igorance is amazing. You and I justanothergen? We will still be living with choosing WHICH champagne in a year or two or five. These people will be choosing which breadline is better. And it makes me sick. Sick.

Me: But at least they can say they took their gub'mint back from the 'colored' man.

"Hope that feeds their kids. Or heats their house."


Where my peeps and moi are IRL? THEY wanted this. Not the Teapublicans - the people who voted for them.

And the reality is - next summer? We WON'T go out to town hall meetings and 'scream and yell' at these people. Because we know the Teapublicans won this country. If L.O.'s theory is correct? Tonight is the night we became a third world country. And the people who voted for these worthless nothings? They want that. They are perfectly happy with the concept.

We have to accept that. There are people in America that were laughing at this analysis of what hell Paul could put this country and the world in - we threw up in our mouths. And we can't push back - because they will just curb stomp us.
