Docs: Miller lied about misconduct

The language in the documents is stronger than what Miller has said publicly on the campaign trail.

“I lied about accessing all of the computers. I then admitted about accessing the computers, but lied about what I was doing. Finally, I admitted what I did,” Miller wrote in a March 2008 email, among the dozens of pages of documents released.

An official note of "disciplinary suspension" sent to Miller March 26, 2008, recounted his infraction before claiming it was "evident" Miller was "under significant stress" and that it affected his judgment.

"You three accessed Legal Department employee computers for non-borough related purpose and then you were dishonest both about your conduct and the reasons for the conduct. Shortly after the incident, however, you completely admitted the wrong doing, acknowledged the inappropriate of your actions and have fully accepted responsibility," the note read.

The e-mails reveal a somewhat strained relationship between Miller and his co-workers, with exchanges between employees writing they were "puzzled" by Miller's behavior and that the situation was "bizarre."
