With all signs pointing to an epic cave by Dems on whether to hold a vote to extend the middle class tax cuts, it's worth resposting this video message to Democrats that went viral when Dems were debating whether to take the plunge and pass health reform via reconciliation:
In case you didn't catch it the first time, this video urged Dems to "get some balls" -- Balls Beer, that is. It went viral because it seemed to perfectly capture Dems' frustration with their party leadership's chronic tendency to fold in the face of Republican attacks.
This video -- which was produced by a group called the Liam Show/Drama34 production -- came amid weeks and weeks of handwringing among Dems about the GOP's claim that if they passed health reform via reconciliation, armageddon would break loose.
The first time this vid became a sensation, of course, Dems did ultimately summon the courage to pass reform. But now that we're here again, it seems worth reasking the questoin Sam Stein posed last time:
"Which bodega in Washington D.C. sells Balls Beer for leadership to purchase?"
