1. Bastards.
They set up a strawman (death panels, etc.) and then campaign against it regardless of the facts.
:grr:

2. I'm someone who the law supposedly helps.....
..and yes, I'm going to go and vote and vote for Dem's. But it's not because of the Health Care bill which I think is at best a 50/50 proposition of good and bad.

So if I'm a hardcore Dem, and one who the law theoretically does some good for and I'm barely mustering the enthusiasm to get out there, and even then only out of a 25 year habit and also out of largely realizing that the other side is much much worse, then doesn't that maybe indicate that there is a larger problem yet again with the Dem's imaging and message? That maybe yet again they've allowed the republicans to determine the narrative and without fighting back?

If I'm a die hard political junkie, and have read the majority of the provisions of the bill, and I'm someone who it helps and it still generates as much consternation as it does enthusiasm, how the hell do any of these elected dems and dems leaders except Joe Average who doesn't have time during they day to pour through all these details and everything else and to be enthused about this and aghast at the proposition of it being repealed.

3. they're lying about that
they know they have no chance of repeal because Obama could and would veto any such attempt. But they successfully got their stupid base to believe all their exaggerations about how bad Obamacare is, and they have to pretend they're going to repeal it.

7. They can refuse to fund the HCPlan. This will have the same
effect as repealing it. If subsidies and other funds are
not sent out---

9. Republicans are all about power
and, getting their base whipped up in a frenzy is how they do it.

And, they'll keep power by starting impeachment proceedings almost immediately in 2011. That will gum up the government for the next two years, ensuring the economy remains stagnant. Voters will then blame Obama and we get President Romney and VP Palin in 2012.

12. If they have a president who will sign it.

If they continue to act like nut jobs, I don't think there is a chance of a snowball in hell. The Republican party is on the downside of the bell curve and the hill is greased.

16. Even if they win the house they won't be able to do it. They might stall the funds
but they can't repeal the bill.
