Murray Ahead in Washington 50%-41%

Elway poll:

A new Elway Poll on the Senate race has incumbent Democrat Patty Murray up 50-41% over Republican challenger Dino Rossi.

The poll of 500 likely voters showed Murray's support strongest is among Baby Boomers, women and retirees.

Rossi has a big edge in Eastern Washington, Pierce and Kitsap counties, and with voters earning more than $75,000. He also leads among independents.

The Elway poll, released Monday, has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percent.

7. Great news
I have always thought she was In better shape that the MSM was saying. It may get close but I think her,Boxer, and Feingold can
win reelection. With those 3 and If Tea bagers help Reid win relection and give Democrats openings In Delaware and possibly NH
and we keep Obama's seat In Illinois Democrats keep the senate.

8. The polls in 2004 showed HI leaning repug in the prez race

It was a scam poll to get dems to spend money and resources. Perhaps that was the case in WA with
some of the recent polls. I think WA likes Murray. :-)

9. Strong eastern Washingtonian for Patty!
Thank Gawd! She's been a fabulous Senator. I staffed a Dem party booth at the local (eastern Wash.) county fair over the weekend. Looked like the Repub booth had a bit more action! But I gotta say...those who stopped by were certainly enthusiastic! :)

10. This is great news. Of the three "surprisingly close races"--Wisconsin, Washington and California--
I felt like Washington was the one where the GOP had the best shot. Now I think they'll lose all three.

Even if they can win PA, OH and CO, and O'Donnell doesn't win the GOP nomination in Delaware tomorrow (thereby letting Castle win the GE), I still think we will win in Nevada. So I don't see the Republicans winning more than 6 Senate seats in November.

11. You've done your homework, Steve! Love it!

I think we'll take CO (and hopefully PA) though. DE- my fingers are crossed.

12. Thanks! I agree that Colorado and Pennsylvania are both still competitive. It would be incredible
if we could run against O'Donnell tomorrow. We'll crusade against corruption and trickle-down economics; she'll crusade against masturbation. Maybe the best candidate win!
