Before someone asks.. The President cannot give speeches with this kind of fire
every week because the very juice we feel when we hear this speech would lose its fire if we had those hell fire speeches every week.

This was a great speech.. now its time for us to fire up..

1. I don't know; it got him elected, didn't it? I think he got into the White House

and listened to people who told him that now he had to be dignified. I'd rather see him out talking to people than sitting in the Oval Office.

When he gives a speech from the Oval Office, I feel like I'm the only one listening. When he gives a speech to a crowd, I feel like part of a movement.

5. He always waits until September to "bring it."
For that very reason. If you peak too early, in the summer when no one's paying attention, it's all lost by Fall.

Thank God Republicans are too stupid to have learned this lesson after the general election when they peaked in August with Failin Palin's nomination, and last summer with the anti-health care rallies. By the time HCR came around for a vote, the looney teabaggers were all pooped out.

7. On The Contrary, Ma'am: These Should Be Daily Occurrences
Wholesale politics is like communicating with a mule, as laid out long ago: first, you tell the mule you are going to hit him with a two by four; then you show him the two by four; then you hit him with the two by four; then you show him the two by four; and then you tell him you hit him with a two by four. You have to make things perfectly clear, and cannot skip a single step if you want the mule to actually move in the direction you desire....

14. Travel About, Ma'am: Own Every Local Market In Sequence
Escalate the level of attack:it it is always news when the President speaks, and speaking, accuses and attacks. Commentary on and discussion of the attacks and accusations necessarily repeats them, and ingrains them further.

The uncommitted middle is swayed by neither reason nor calculated self-interest: it aligns with what is most passionate, most fierce in attack of its enemies and advocacy of its own desires.

12. Instead of a mule, couldn't we just do that to Glen Beck?
Just a suggestion.

But what this President needs are some key surrogates, and I'm not talking about just Joe Biden. We need a cadre of safe members of the House and Senate to take this barnstorm this message on a regional scale. Al Franken in the Upper Midwest. Sherrod Brown through the Lower Rust Belt. Etc.
