I'm sure you must have more on these rumored cuts
that are being used by some to scare others on a daily
basis....right?

This "Cat Food Commission" scare tactic reminds me of the "death panel"
tactics used earlier last year.....just that the fearmongers have
changed......but the fear being sold is the same.

And these "cuts" can be stopped through a veto by President Obama. So many of us will consider it his responsibility to veto an increase in the retirement age or other cuts.

Cause that's all I'm reading about.....

Fearmongers have no party; they just like to frighten others
into agreeing with their particular point of view.
In this case, some are rumormongering and attempting to pass it off
as facts.

What I did and will do again was to write to my congresscritters and
told them without hesitation what I consider to be a remedy for
the possible shortfall in SS......and none of what I suggested has anything
to do with Cutting benefits at all. Perhaps if folks wouldn't be so lazy to just accept rumors as facts, and instead actually took action to make their position clearly known to those who will be voting in congress (especially during an election year) for whatever is proposed, that could actually be more effective than simply fearmongering on the internet by attempting to pass off as fact what is currently provable fiction.
