Of course, it actually overlooks reality and facts. Such is the nature of spin, where rhetoric is real and substance ethereal.

One can overuse synecdoche, of course, but it's also a valid trope.

A recent author of a letter to the editor in my small town bi-weekly was very upset at this abandonment of the Christian Church.
