I thought Peter King is GOP

from politico

If you notice that Peter King is Dem for NY huh?

THE MOSQUE — Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) says it’s not about freedom of religion. Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) doesn’t see how the government could block it.
Rep. Peter King (D-N.Y.) says President Obama’s position lacks clarity, while DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) voices support for the president's stance.
DNC Chairman Tim Kaine and former RNC Chairman Ed Gillespie swap spin.

1. I've seen him identified as a D from time to time as well.
Either very sloppy reporting or intentionally misleading.

3. Yep, the corporate media whores love to tout him as a D
because it makes him appear to be a Dem who thinks other Dems suck. He's a world class ass, and the people in his district are either unbelievably stupid or completely ignorant.

4. sigh.. sadly they are mostly innattentive
Our district hasn't suffered during this recession the way most have.. They don't think anything's wrong...

(regardless of how loud I hollar and how many doors I knock on, apparently)

5. I lived in Smithtown for 20+ years
until 2007. MOST of LI (Suffolk) isn't suffering the way other places are. Even though most of Suffolk are registered Repbulicans, or Independents, they vote Democratic. I don't know why your district is so against the grain. King should have been out of there a LONG time ago.

8. He's usually associated with Irish-American issues
That's an area that is largely dominated by Democrats. To be fair, he's very good on matters related to human rights in Northern Ireland.

9. If they can't identify the right party, is POLITICO even worth using?
I'll admit to referencing their work in the past, but this is really bad.
