Obama to sign manufacturing bill

WASHINGTON, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- U.S. President Obama signs and discusses the Manufacturing Enhancement Act of 2010 in the White House East Room Wednesday, his daily schedule indicates.

The bill's goals are to help create jobs and investments in the manufacturing sector, a driver in the nation's economic recovery, the White House said.

Obama also will meet with his national security team on Iraq Tuesday. Attendees include Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, and other members of the military, intelligence and diplomatic community.

The president also will receive the daily briefings and meet separately with several members of his Cabinet.

7. Obama isn't giving up or giving in to the massive opposition
Some days it seems like he's the only one who cares about the future of our country.
