...the ones who are paid to promote politics. That means very, very few here could even be considered as "professional left", so why all the hubbub? My blog is on a newspaper site. I have pointed out the handful of things that Obama did well. I defended his actions, in print, on the oil spill. In the beginning I was very supportive of his decisions and actions. I supported his economic recovery bill.

But I have to be honest and say that since HCR was gutted, he hasn't done a whole hell of a lot to be proud of.

I think the finanicial reforms were much better than status quo, myself.
Even the kid's lunches changing will effect tiny lives every day.
Also, I like the Nuclear deal he was able to come up with recently,
as well, I think his signing that tribal order into law was a long time coming.
Of course, all of these things were done after health care passed (that included
some revision on student loans).....

So anyways....you are feeling a bit indignant about this Gibbs comment?
Is it that you and yours are the only ones able to criticize the actions
of others? Can't it be more of a two way street? I mean folks want Obama
to go after Fox and shit? Why should the WH restrict themselves, and not

I don't want Obama to go after anyone in the media, including Fox. He does need to take a bigger offensive against elected republicans, and stop trying to negotiate with them.

What I do want Obama to do is actually go back out and talk to the people. He needs to get out of his WH bubble and look at the real world.

And to be honest, the things you listed are nice small changes that will make small differences in people's lives. But he's done nothing big since the economic reform bill.

Yes, it was nice that he pushed for extension to unemployment benefits. But where is the real reform to help get those people off the unemployment rolls?

This country is hemorrhaging from arterial wounds when it comes to the economy, health care, and two wars and the Obama administration is slapping on band-aids when it needs to be performing evasive surgery.
