Emmer campaign adds 2 high-level GOP veterans
MINNETONKA, Minn. (AP) - Gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer is adding two veteran GOP strategists to top levels of his campaign.

Emmer's campaign said in a statement Saturday that Cullen Sheehan will be his new campaign manager. Sheehan helps fill the void left after high-level campaign consultant Tom Mason stepped down Friday. Mason said the campaign had become too time-consuming.

Sheehan brings significant experience, having managed the 2008 re-election campaign of former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman. Sheehan is taking a leave of absence from his position as chief of staff of the Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus.

The campaign statement also names Chris Georgacas as the chair of a new team of strategy advisers. Georgacas was the campaign chairman for Gov. Tim Pawlenty's winning 2002 campaign.
