1. No different than forgetting the 8 years under bush and not voting in 2010, 2012

2. Yeah, let's don't go vote now and give it all back to them so we can gripe
for another couple of terms, let them screw things up even worse, then get out there and fight again to gain it all back...and for what? To lose it again?

I blame Obama and the Dems in Congress for their center-right stance, they're losing the progressives in the process, and without the progressives they don't stand a chance. For some reason, the ones closer to the right are a more attractive catch for the Dems.

3. born and raised in CA
sounds like typical Dem numbers for that State to me.

Brown will win this thing. It will very close though.

4. Jerry Brown's persona is liberal, on a lot of issues his policies aren't.
I think he's an honest man, but he's always been more politician than ideologue.

6. Well, To Be Fair To Californians, Jerry Has Never, Ever Starred in an Action Movie
and he's never uttered a single memorable catch-phrase, such as "I'll Be Back" or "Hasta La Vista" or "Come with me if you want to live".

Come on, this is an election for governor of CA after all.

7. Quite honestly, the Governorship in CA is virtually irrelevant...
as long as the 2/3 law exists to prevent the legislature from passing a budget, raising taxes, etc.
THAT is where the dysfunction in CA lies.

8. Ah, I disagree. I think it is a difficult office to function in
which is why they need a very skilled Governor, as opposed to a blustering bodybuilder. That 2/3 law is there. And it sucks. But a good Governor like Brown will be able to get far more done than Whitman who has no experience at all. The Governorship of CA can be irrelevant, it can also be a powerful chair if you know how to work it. You have to know how to work it.

9. I suspect there are lots of moderate Dems who think Jerry is a bit too liberal
But 69% should still be enough to get the win. Go Jerry!

11. there are many social liberal/fiscal conservative Dems in the state
who do you think Feinstein's biggest supporters are ? it certainly isn't from the republican side although they would rather her than someone like brown.
