So ol' Dylan had Jonathan Capehart and some idiot conservative on to discuss racism, the NAACP resolution, and the Sherrod case. Idiot conservative says that the NAACP said that the entire tea party was racist; Capehart says, no, you're just a fabulator and explains what the NAACP actually said about the TPers.
Ratigan then goes on at length about how the real problem isn't whether the TPers are racist, or Sherrod is racist, but the structural racism in the US that leaves non-whites, and especially African Americans, at a disadvantage vis-a-vis education, the justice system, and home ownership, among other things.
This irritates the idiot conservative to no end, who starts complaining that he hasn't gotten to speak enough for his taste.
Ratigan: <paraphrased> "You do know this is called the Dylan Ratigan Show, idiot conservative?"
"Yes, but I think I deserve the chance to tell my lies"
"Well, when I want you to speak, I'll ask to hear from you"
"Oh. OK. Or if I hear something I object to, I'll just interrupt"
"And if you do that, I'll ask you to stop interrupting."
<sad face on idiot conservative>
"Or I might just book you on the show and not let you talk at all for 4 minutes. And then you can choose not to come on again. How's that?"
I'm not a fan of Ratigan, but I have to admit I enjoyed that performance quite a bit.
