Racist Mark Williams kicked out of "Teabagger Federation" over "offensive" blog post

Tea Party Federation kicks out Williams over blog postBy the CNN Wire Staff
July 18, 2010 12:01 p.m. EDT

CNN) -- The National Tea Party Federation, an organization that represents the Tea Party political movement around the country, has expelled conservative commentator Mark Williams and his Tea Party Express because of an inflammatory blog post he wrote, federation spokesman David Webb said Sunday.

Appearing on the CBS program "Face the Nation," Webb said that Williams and the Tea Party Express -- which has held a series of events across the country to generate support for the movement -- no longer were part of the National Tea Party Federation.

"We, in the last 24 hours, have expelled Tea Party Express and Mark Williams from the National Tea Party Federation because of the letter that he wrote," Webb said of the blog post by Williams that satirized a fictional letter from what he called "Colored People" to President Abraham Lincoln.

Webb called the blog post "clearly offensive."

Williams wrote the blog post in response to a resolution by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) that called on Tea Party leaders to crack down on racist elements in the movement.

The NAACP, the nation's main group advocating civil rights for African Americans, cited signs carried at Tea Party events and racial slurs reportedly shouted at black congress members during an event as some examples of racism in the movement.

The announcement by Webb on a Sunday talk show demonstrated that the public outcry over the issue had resonated with the Tea Party movement, and indicated a possible split within its leadership.

On the same program, NAACP President Benjamin Jealous called for other Tea Party leaders besides Webb, who is African American, to come out against racist elements in the movement.

And a copy of the spew that grew too hot even for the teabaggers -
Dear Mr. Lincoln

We Coloreds have taken a vote and decided that we don’t cotton to that whole emancipation thing. Freedom means having to work for real, think for ourselves, and take consequences along with the rewards. That is just far too much to ask of us Colored People and we demand that it stop!

In fact we held a big meeting and took a vote in Kansas City this week. We voted to condemn a political revival of that old abolitionist spirit called the ‘tea party movement’.

The tea party position to “end the bailouts” for example is just silly. Bailouts are just big money welfare and isn’t that what we want all Coloreds to strive for? What kind of racist would want to end big money welfare? What they need to do is start handing the bail outs directly to us coloreds! Of course, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the only responsible party that should be granted the right to disperse the funds.

And the ridiculous idea of “reduce the size and intrusiveness of government.” What kind of massa would ever not want to control my life? As Coloreds we must have somebody care for us otherwise we would be on our own, have to think for ourselves and make decisions!

The racist tea parties also demand that the government “stop the out of control spending.” Again, they directly target coloreds. That means we Coloreds would have to compete for jobs like everybody else and that is just not right.

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we coloreds ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

Mr. Lincoln, you were the greatest racist ever. We had a great gig. Three squares, room and board, all our decisions made by the massa in the house. Please repeal the 13th and 14th Amendments and let us get back to where we belong.

Sincerely

Precious Ben Jealous, Tom’s Nephew NAACP Head Colored Person

4. So now that the heat is on for the teahadists, er, teabaggers
They want to show how "non racist' and "non partisan" they are? Too little too late.

5. the reactionarky stooge embarassed them...
meanwhile the tee party has a billboard showing mister hitler, Barack obama, and john lennon under the titles 'national socialist' 'democratic socialist' and 'marxist socialist' in that order...holocaust victims' families must cringe at such pointless evil as racial fascism compared with the Obama's cleanup administration or the worldwide human aspiration for life with dignity (which is what commynism is truly all about, despite what mister pig endlessly says)

7. Yes...yes!
what was i thinking!
anyway, they murdered John Lennon for aspiring to same thing as Vladmir 'Lenin' aspired to- life with dignity for the silent masses who do ALL the work and get very little for their efforts (and i care not who mark chapman was, or who he was funded by- mister pig wanted John gone, and mister pig got his wish; just like piggy got his wish regards the USSR)

8. Williams wrote the letter for the majority of teabaggers. I'm sure they loved it. It's bullshit
that they "expelled" him. He is part of the heart and soul of the republican party.

9. Williams wants to be bigger than Beck. And how does one go about doing so?
You say even STUPIDER things than Glenn Beck. Williams is a ninny and an opportunist. The huge reaction (including havign his name mentioned all over the media) is EXACTLY what he was looking for.

10. Yeah, teabaggers aren't racist. Much.
Edited on Sun Jul-18-10 01:10 PM by Phx_Dem
Some asshole host of one of the Sunday shows asked one of his guests if the NAACP was out of line for saying there were racist elements of the tea party. I can't remember if it was Tapper or Gregory, but I think it was Tapper.

No, you fucking moron, spitting on a black man and calling him nigger isn't racist. Don't be ridiculous. Nor is the letter printed above, or any number of tea party protest signs and billboards we've seen. Remember the sign calling the President, "a lyin' African." Definitely not racist.

13. This shows the extreme lack of intelligence in the "TEA PARTY"
How utterly stupid & incompetent do you have to be in this day & age to write something like that? Hell - FORWARDING an email like that would get you fired in 95% of most corporations in this day and age.. so what kind of idiot writes something like that and thinks he's not going to face a complete shit-storm?

Even if your a race-baiting freak.. you should still want to get rid of this guy just because it's clear that his IQ is somewhere below the temp in Sarah Palin's backyard around Christmas time.

14. "Expelled" with a wink and a nudge, no doubt.
Methinks the teabaggers aren't about to divorce the guy that brought them to national prominence; the separation is likely just for show, with Williams remaining to work behind the scenes. In private, they're likely slapping him on the back while congratulating him for his 'cleverness'. Scum doesn't throw out scum.

15. kicked out
however, he will still write books. He still has his radio gig. Tea bagging candidates will most likely have him at their rallies. This event will make him even more popular among that crowd.
