Romanoff, Bennet duel on the air
On the same day Andrew Romanoff is attempting to prove he’s running against big-moneyed interests, Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet wants to show he’s an everyman who has overcome hardship.

In the first ad of his Democratic Senate primary campaign, Romanoff, the former Colorado state House speaker, is on the air comparing Washington to a rigged casino.

Over a picture of the nation’s Capitol adorned with flashy, Vegas-like signage, Romanoff focuses on the Wall Street bailout to tie his point together.

“Washington takes special interest money, Wall Street gambles with our economy. And then Washington bails Wall Street out,” says Romanoff, before the shot transitions to a close-up of the candidate.
