I know intellectually that, that does not accomplish anything in the end. But sometimes when I skim by Fox News, or turn on talk radio.. and the out right lies.. just blatant lies, are more than the average person can stand.

Then you get those crummy little emails (that the right sends in mass) and you just want to fire back to that friend? acquaintance? or God forbid, relative.. this little four letter message.

Just go to Hell.

1. My grandfather was fantastic at this.

...He'd sit there watching television and when he saw someone making no sense (Geraldo, in my memory, but it couldn't have been him every time), he'd say, quite loudly, "YOU SHUT UP NOW!!" and he'd hit the mute button and absolutely fucking beam a grin, muttering (very, very quietly) "Take that, you fucker." :D

2. My dad, when he was alive

Would sometimes come out of the bedroom (he normally turned in pretty early, reading the paper then going to bed) to get a bowl of ice cream, look at the TV with Reagan on it and yell, "Lying bastard," on his trip to the kitchen. Dad was a union steelworker (a lot of downtown Wichita has his hand on it). I always smiled when he did that.
