Gen Russell Honore now on CSPAN Washington Journal
Gen Honore has common sense about this BP Gulf oil gusher. Says we need to treat it as WW3 with a sense of urgency and commitment. Need military directly involved in command and control in reconnaissance and locating oil and then in attacking.

BP must be removed from having the last say so in the cleanup process.

He is not complimentary on the administration. It is hard to believe that we have not organized an effective command and control structure after all this time to aggressively go after the oil before it hits land.

2. If I lived there
Edited on Sat Jun-19-10 07:35 AM by howaboutme
I would agree with him. It is not helpful for society that there has become an underlying political agenda on most everything. As a result I would say that it is unfortunate that we have been conditioned to look at everything through the prism of politics. But that's the way the media has conditioned us as well as the Parties too.

What the guy says makes sense to me and if I lived there that would be my primary concern. We need results not politics and posturing. We do need to look at this as war and not as a football game between a red and blue team.

Most of his suggestions were towards action needed and not in hindsight criticisms.
