Seriously. So much positive energy now that I don't have to watch the constant negativism spewed from much of their hosts.

It's so nice. I suggest many of you do the same. :)

Then you missed some of the best reporting ever by Rachel Maddow on the Gulf.

She has had on a Park Ranger, an Ecologist, an Oceanographer, a marine biologist,
and a toxicologist and they were very very good.

24. No it's not

I knew that the "truth of this disaster" is that greed on the scale we have today will destroy us all, and that offshore drilling is something that can go spectacularly wrong.

Is there some other truth of this disaster?

is doing is getting free of the brainwashing.

There's other ways to learn what's going on besides listening to a bunch frothing media types. The exceptions being KO, Rachel, Jon, and a few others.

9. I still TIVO Keith, but it only takes me about ten minutes to watch the entire show now.
Listening to a lot more NPR during the day. It's great because they actually discuss the news, without a lot of commentary/opinion. And I love the "World Have Your Say" show, where they discuss news from around the world. It's been great.

Oh, and I agree with you about "Ignore". It makes the DU experience so much more pleasant.:toast:

23.  Funny , MSNBC was lionized by some when its liberal pundits helped elect Obama.
News isn't mean to be an a echo chamber. I don't want to hear it from the left or the right.News should just be news. The only one who really reports the news, and even she has a bent is Maddow. But MSNBC overall is the best news. And I still watch CNN. But I no longer watch any news every day or all the time as I used to.

36. David Schuster is most likely a dem right?-He at one time co-anchored with Tamron
Do you think MSNBC would have two left leaning anchors at the same time for the same show? I suspect that she was meant to be a counterbalance to David. Something about her just rubs me wrong. Comments she made about Times Square and the Nobel Peace Prize for example. Can't pinpoint it.

42. Schuster used to be on FAUX, so who knows
You don't get a job on that network if you're "liberal" (Aside from the token Alan Colmes hiring when they tried to clone the CNN Crossfire formula with the "Hannity & Colmes" circus - and even then Alan was basically told to shut up and let Sean dominate the show)

Shepard Smith, the "Log Cabin Republican" is probably the closest thing they have to a "Liberal" on that network. There are lines he will not cross (i.e. the infamous "We do not fucking torture!" clip) but he manages to stay employed there. Why he would want to, God only knows.

Schuster seemed to do alright when he used to guest host for Keith, and when he briefly had his own afternoon show after Douche Gregory got promoted to "Press The Meat", but before Ed Schultz was hired. So I have no way of knowing what his true beliefs are. If he turns up on CNN (which is the rumor) than I expect him to turn to the dark side again, as that network has done since the day Time Warner & AOL took over.

50. Yeah-the demise of CNN is sad to see
I remember how great they were back with Bernard Shaw, Judy Woodruff, Bill Schneider and the gang. They went wignut in style right after 9/11 when they hired Paula Zahn, Anderson Cooper, Lou Dobbs and other gop hacks among others. I used to love CNN. Now, I can't stand them.

As far as Tamron Hall goes, I hope that I am wrong about her. I liked her at first as well.
