I bet that's Rasmussen bullshit polling he's going by.Didn't we just release a poll today saying Brown was ahead in that race

1. Why watch Tweety? He is not a liberal. He is not even a Dem, is he?
Just someone, who once in while, agrees with Dems on some things.

4. And "good Tweety" isn't even showing up that much anymore
It used to be a relatively even distribution of his two personalities, but it's been "bad Tweety" about 85% of the time lately. :puke:

3. Of course it's Rasmussen.
http://polltracker.talkingpointsmemo.com/contests/2010-ca-gov

Other polls show a larger Brown lead. I wouldn't worry about Rasmussen polls - they are assuming a much more Republican turnout. And that is possible if progressives don't mobilize people as they did in 2006 and 2008. No resting on laurels and all...

7. DAMN that didn't take long I posted a prediction today saying Rasmussen would
come out with a poll either saying Whitman was ahead.Notice all the TV and radio pundits always use his polling to track races.

11. I have several die hard Democratic friends in California who say they will not vote for Jerry Brown.
I don't believe they will vote for Meg Whitman.

14. I'm not a CA voter and my friends are evasive with their reasons. It's interesting because they
would never, never vote for a Republican.

18. It's possible...
That they were around during Brown's first two terms in the '70s. Not the best of times in Sacramento. He'd made some REALLY shitty hires, particularly in CalTrans (CA DOT) which resulted in the stoppage of several road projects in midstream. We had several "roads to nowhere" for most of that decade. Moreover, many Dems here in CA blame Jerry for GOP resurgence in this state. He went around saying things like how Americans should "lower their expectations" because the boom times of the '50s and '60s were OVER, never to come again. Republicans jumped on that with all the abandon of an unrepentant alcoholic in a brewery. That was a BIG reason we didn't have a Democratic Governor again until Gray Davis got elected in '99.
Hopefully, experience will have mellowed him somewhat in that regard. Even so, I'll be holding my nose when I vote for him in November. Ask your friends if they prefer Meg Whitman.

21. Let's see now...
...Meg Whitman has spent $80M so far. Jerry Brown hasn't cracked $1M yet (last I checked). And it's a dead heat.

Lookin' good for Jerry!
