Murkowski's EPA resolution: Have you called your senator to stop this nonsense?
I have. That there is even a chance this gets 51 votes makes me sick.

Please help out,if you are so inclined.

Call, don't email. They laugh at email.

4. They count emails, pro and con. They do not ignore them.

5. I was mostly joking but...
they do not always tally them as quickly or take them as seriously as phone calls. Because it requires so much less effort to send an email, and it is much harder to determine who is your constituent and who is not.

I've talked to several congressional aides, and they have always told me to call rather than email.

8. They count phone calls, pro or con, as well. But, no problem doing both!

6. I think Democrats who are not inclined to vote for this should filibuster it.
Give the GOP a taste of their own medicine for once.

Even if it passes the Senate, it wouldn't even be considered in the House--and Obama in no uncertain terms said he'd veto it if it made it to his desk.

13. I don't think a resolution can be filibustered. But then it isn't law either.

14. can't filibuster it
it's a "resolution of disapproval". Apparently it's another stupid fucking Senate rule that they cannot be filibuster.

I hate the fact that we have a goddamn House of Lords.

7. Guess who stepped up to support Murkowski just this morning?
Yep. Blanche "electoral fraud" WalMart herself.

9. Ben Nelson and Mary Landrieu also support Murkowski's amendment. Perhaps Rockefeller, as well, if
does not get a vote on his amendment dealing with the EPA's authority.

10. Landrieu's not really a surprise
She's already whining about getting the offshore drilling working again. Apparently she couldn't give a flying fuck if the Gulf Coast or the Mississippi river delta is ever non toxic again
