Breaking (NV-Sen D): Reid Thrashes his Opponents to Win the Democratic Nomiation
(ok, this really isn't all that shocking but poor Harry never gets a break .... so I thought it would be fun to act like he won a major victory tonight and not just something everyone expected him to win anyway)

Nevada Senate race: Sen. Harry Reid wins to face difficult re-election bid

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., easily jumped the first hurdle in his difficult re-election bid, defeating three little-known Democrats in Tuesday’s primary.

The Associated Press called the race with just a small percentage of the returns in Tuesday evening.

No major Democrats sought to oust Reid in the primary, leaving him free to focus his resources on the Republican Senate primary.

In his own primary, Reid defeated a Las Vegas garbage collector, a Reno nurse and a Republican who changed his party registration to challenge Reid in the primary.
Carlo Poliak, 70, a Las Vegas garbage collector who has been running unsuccessfully for office since the 1970s, believed Reid no longer represents “Main Street” Americans. Alex Miller, a Reno nurse, was unhappy with the federal governments profligate spending. And Ed “Mr. Clean” Hamilton saw an opportunity for a Republican to take out Reid in June rather than wait until December by changing his voter registration.

1. "poor" Harry Reid?
Never quite thought of Mr. Reid in those terms. Considering he is one of the most powerful people on the planet?
