And then Anderson played the "whose ass to kick" clip, saying it sounds like Obama's had ENOUGH of BP AND his critics who say he hasn't been on top of this. :D
.... how awesome would it be for him to say that during a presser? "everyone chill the F out!" ...... the fallout would probably crash DU's servers. lol
20. There has been all of this bravado lately about how BP can afford
all these payouts to the common man & the environment. You know that they have no intention on doing any of that, they'll shut the whole motherfucker down & re-emerge under some other god damn name & it will all be legal-eagle.
I've heard they're already trying to change signs at gas stations across the country. At least one report said they were changing them to "ARCO" stations. Wonder how long it will be before ARCO scrubs any mention of BP from their website?
What should be done is something like the airline insurance fund - everyone pays in according to how much they fly and how risky the flights are. It is called the Warsaw convention - look it up.
All this "no liability cap" bs means is only the largest firms can afford to drill. This drives down the price of the leases and automatically creates an oligopoly.
This is nonsense on wheels.
And virtually everyone around here is a shithead. Cheers, you have created a permanent government supported oil cartel. hurrray.
With the WH now behind it - if we can get all Democrats behind it, all we need is one Republican up for election in a close race in a state that feels that this is only fair.
