Griffith speaks for first time after losing 5th District congressional race

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Incumbent Congressman Parker Griffith conceded to his opponent, Mo Brooks, shortly before 11:00 Tuesday night in the 5th District congressional race.

At a press conference Wednesday morning, Griffith told members of the press that he congratulates Mo Brooks, saying Brooks ran a great campaign and did things the right way.

Griffith said he supports Brooks and will vote for him in November.

"I was rejected by the constituents, they did not accept me. I appreciate that because that is how America is supposed to work," said Griffith.
