Unbelievable: Reporter's question-"And back to taking the President's emotional temperature...
Edited on Thu Jun-03-10 02:26 PM by jenmito
I just wanna get back to something that Jake asked you about on the American who was killed on the flotilla. You said the President was very sorry. Was he angry?"

Gibbs' response: "I was told he expressed his condolences. I was not in the room..."

I couldn't hear her name. Maybe "Connie"? They just won't get off this "anger" thing! :eyes:

1. Obama should wear a mood ring
they could post color updates at the WH website so reporters don't have to ask.

7. And he didn't get elected. We elected Obama knowing he was the way he's being now. n/t

9. Obama was elected for not being McCain. I, too, prefer a calm prez, but a lot
of folks need to 'see' something.

Visuals are important.

13. And the main difference between them was that McCain went nuts when the financial crisis hit while
Obama remained cool, calm, and collected. People liked that about him.

17. It hurt McCain but didn't necessarily help Obama. But I generally agree with you.
Like my quarterback, I want my prez to have some ice in his veins.

18. +1000
It's a no-win for the President. So I say he should use his best judgement and stop worrying about what these appearance-obsessed people CLAIM to want, because as soon as he tried to give them what they're asking, they'd spin it into another negative against him.

5. Good lord
I really wish Gibbsy would just go off on these idiots. Or at least shame them with some snark. I mean, can you imagine Walter Cronkite going on and on about exactly how angry the president is and how EXACTLY does he show it? It's just insane.

I recommend Obama hire The Rock to hang out behind the scenes tomorrow and as soon as some idiot asks this question AGAIN, he can come out to bust up the press room.

A girl's gotta dream, right?

12. He already said if pounding on the podium could make the spill stop or plug the hole,
he'd do it in a second. I guess that didn't do it.

6. First, the MSM wants Obama to get angry. If he does, then they'll play the scary-black-man card. nt

10. Obama should just walk in the Press Room and throw the podium across the room
And then ask "are you fucking satisfied"

11. Maybe Obama should hire The Rock.
The Rock can do photo-ops and press conferences while Obama can run the country without all this nonsense.

20. And then there was Chuck Todd's STUPID question asking
Gibbs if he'd seen Jon Stewart making fun of the administration for doing other things.

Help me Jesus.

The American media really is that ignorant.
