Two things that I am happy about tonight!!! You should be also!

#1 That Obama is the one making the decisions and not McCain/Palin!

#2 That Obama is not making a rash decision. He has spent more damn time thinking about this decision than Bush spent thinking in his whole 8 years in office. I might not like his decision, but I know he has gathered all the information possible and making the decision he really believes in.

1. Kick and received!! Totally agree with you. Let's support
our President. He always thought Afghanistan was a war of necessity not a choice. Whoever is complaining now they obviously didn't listen to him during the campaign.

4. I listened. I just didn't agree.
Still, considering that he is right on most things and McCain is wrong on almost everything, it really was a no-brainer.

with and that he somehow is betraying us progressives. He called for increased in troops back in 2004!!

As much as I hate it, I would rather see a troop increase than a series of mushroom clouds.

not sure what that implies.

After Mangino's play calling on Saturday, I don't believe I would be criticizing anyone's football program. (just a little jab back)

Good luck with the b-ball season - looks like a good one for you this year.

After all, we're the only conference that's even remotely competitive with the SEC.

We were lucky enough to be able to make this years rain-soaked event - 5 inches fell DURING the game. But the good guys pulled it out.

47. funny thing about Nebraska fans
I was born there and lived there about 9 of my first 11 years. Attended school elsewhere (USC- but never a fan of west coast football).

BUT I have been a loyal fan all my life.

My son is also a diehard fan - even though born in Kansas and raised in Florida.

Go figure.

do you have a problem with me being against it? What is your point?

btw - are you one of the ones that feel they have the elevated morals and feel empowered to sit in judgement?

and . . . are they "barbarians" because they have a death penalty? Or because of the method of implementing it?

26. Christ, I'm so fucking sick of being told to be happy it's not McCain-Palin. So what? After a
point it really doesn't seem to make much difference, does it? You know what? I bet McCain-Palin wouldn't have forced me to buy worthless "health insurance" I can't afford. Obama's making enough GOP-flavored policy decisions already. And if your only response to that is to call me a freeper or a troll or whine about me wanting a pony, save it: I'm fucking sick of that dead horse, too. I'm sick of feeling stabbed in the back and being told to be glad it's Democrats doing the stabbing.

"I know he has gathered all the information possible and making the decision he really believes in"? I remember very vividly how many people supported wholeheartedly Bush's invasion of Iraq under the assumption that he's got access to all these intelligence data that we don't, so he obviously knows better. Obama's decision to send 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan is still the worst option he could have chosen. It's a bad decision—fatally bad, for a lot of American kids—that nothing good will come of.

39. I'm sick of hearing that McCain would have been no different
That's crazy, and I get sick easily of hearing crazy shit.

McCain wouldn't have done anything to get health insurance for all. You're being forced to buy it? Why don't you buy it? You're not covered and you don't care? Doesn't this bill make it possible for you to get covered? Geez.

Bush didn't consider any data, he went with his gut and the neocon cabal plan and started this mess that President Obama is stuck with dealing with. I'm sick of hearing from big babies who don't want to deal with that reality.
