Crist on indy bid: No rush on decision, "I take my cues from Floridians

Gov. Charlie Crist tells me he's in no rush to make up his mind about whether to run as an independent for U.S. Senate, and he's not swayed much by national Republicans pressuring against an independent run.

"I'm getting all kinds of advice,'' Crist said, chuckling. "I take my cues from people in Florida. That's what I care about,'' said Crist. "I want to be very thoughtful in this. This is a decison that has to be made by the 30th and I want to do what's right for the people of our state."

Crist said the campaign is not halting its TV items, but changing to different ads.

1. I will not vote for you or anyone else
because just because my body happens to be in this miserable state temporarily, I am NOT a "Floridian". I don't care how Florida runs it's state.

Senate? I "might" consider that because Senators affect the entire county. Govenors don't.

3. I know how you feel.
But as it turns out we're staying so I may as well make my vote count for people who really want progress in this state. Progress at this time means removing every single politician who voted for SB 6 and every single one who still has Jeb in their back pocket.

Whatever it takes. This state has suffered for too long!
