5. One member of the county

board is calling for his resignation, but he is unapologetic. In the local paper, he says that while he is the mayor, he is also a citizen, and entitled to his opinion. Note: while he claims to be a citizen, he has offered no proof for this claim. I live just outside of the Champaign city limits, and my opinion is that he is an illegal alien from Dumbfuckastan. The city elections are supposed to be non-partisan, but we know who are the Republicans, and who the real Americans are.

6. I agree. For a man of his "stature" to say that sort of thing, he's uncouth and disgusting.

One would think that as mayor, this man would practice a sense of respect and decorum despite disagreeing with the POTUS' politics or lifestyle. Instead, he is only part of a larger syndrome of this day and age: civility is thrown out the window and trampled on like a piece of old cardboard.

The Mayor's blatant racism is a thing I expect as a person of color. Everyday is filled with people just "saying things on their mind" without caring whether it is hurtful or not.

But the utter open disregard for one's leader due to his race is uncalled for. I've discovered that the lies of "not seeing race" do not work. Every time a person lies about being colorblind, there are people who see through that sort of attitude and know what the real deal is. What the Mayor displayed shows that such behavior does not work. The ignorance continues to shine through.
