Where Were the Tea Partiers WHEN...?
They've suddenly discovered the Dangers of Deficit Spending! Where were they when George W. Bush was turning the Clintonian surplus into the biggest debt of all time?

They are forever talking about "liberty" and "tyranny." They seem worried about "having our freedoms stripped away." Odd. I didn't see any of them protesting what Ashcroft was doing to the Constitution.

They decry Obama's "socialism." I guess I must have missed their marches and rallies against the Wall Street Socialism and the Wealthfare programs of the previous Administration.

Ain't it nice to see what Klanspeople look like sans hood???

Like all things conservative, TPer statements cannot be analyzed using logic.

30. There IS one thing about them that makes sense.
In fact the ONLY thing that makes sense about them is that they have a problem with a black president.

(Sorry to all the deniers around here)

3. Being Neo Deficit Hawks Is Code for Being Bigots
They plain don't like it that someone from what they consider to be an inferior race is president of the United States. That's why they're so inconsistent.

And the media is pandering to them because they covet Fox News' ratings.

5. They don't a shit about the deficit. Proably don't even know what it is.
They go crazy every time a Democrat wins the White House. They turned into rabid lunatics during the 1992 election and when Clinton won they went ballistic. Today the Democratic President is black (OMG!!! :wow:) so it's even worse. But it's basically the same shit for the same reasons . . . they're sore losers.

But the good news is . . they are losers.

20. And call it the "Democrat Party".
They don't deserve any more respect than they give to others. They called themselves Tea Baggers and now that they know what it means they want to change it. But they also know that it is the Democratic Party and pride themselves on pronouncing it wrong. So they need to get over it as far as I'm concerned.

8. And the list goes on!
The national debt? "Well, we can't pay it off too soon, it's good to run a debt," they said! "A budget surplus means we overpaid!!" (Which = "What national debt?")

The "liberty" and "tyranny" -- they didn't give a hoot about habeas corpus, didn't bat an eye that the government was spying on American citizens without warrants, and championed "free speech zones." They'd be happy for the government to control who we can marry, what we can do with our own uterus, and what teachers can teach, counter to scientific facts.

And they're worried about the Constitution?!?

Painfully stupid.

18. I find it interesting that the Tea Partiers
are actually imitating the left's protests during the Bush years, except the left was protesting real issues, like a war based on lies, warrantless wiretapping, dismantling the constitution, unlawful detentions, torture, etc. The right has borrowed tactics and slogans from the left as if "now its our turn to be angry". The problem is they are protesting illusions AND they can't spell!

...they are imitators who are being riled up by the right wing media.

I call them the "Cargo Cult" of demonstrators. Only at least the Cargo Cult folks knew what they wanted. In this case, the teabaggers are imitating the form, but with no clear idea of what it is they want. Well many of them have a clear idea -- they don't want a black President -- but they know better than to say it out loud.

36. Americans for Prosperity and FreedomWorks don't use them during Republican administrations.
Right wing media megaphones didn't rile them up during Bush Gang Rule. Professional support and encouragement from right wing PR groups just focused on keeping their gang in power, not deposing a democratic administration.

The fact that they were not shouting when Bush Cheney were pumping up the deficits and violating our civil liberties and enlarging government so significantly demonstrates to me how professionally inflamed those so called "grass roots" groups have been. Just a part of massive Right Wing PR hardball cranked up for democratic administrations.

38. In a word, Jennicut, NO!
I have some neighbors who stopped by recently. The wife of the family tried to make conversation by asking how we'll ever pay down that debt the government is running up. I asked her where the outrage was when Bush was taking this country from budget surpluses to record deficit spending.

The neighbor replied that Bush didn't run up the deficit as fast as Obama is. I said Bush added more than $5 trillion to the national debt. She looked surprised.

I said if all of the same thing that's happening now was happening under a white Republican president, you wouldn't be upset. The only reason we're hearing this outrage is because we have a Black Democratic president. They quietly came up with an excuse to leave.

Every time I visit them, there's a TV running with FAUX Snooze on. Is there a wonder where they get their talking points?

41. These types are all the same. And Obama had no choice with the stimulus when
the economy tanked under Bush to begin with. Bush's tax cuts, which benefited the wealthy, contributed heavily to the state of the deficit. I bet they had no idea there was a surplus under Clinton.

These brain dead morons had nothing to protest while they were in power, as they had no idea of what was going on or choose to ignore it. Now, as their Corporate republican run media has told them, their world is falling in. It is time to get their oxygen masks and get out and protest.
