A shade under six feet, he weighed well over 300 pounds at the end of his Presidency. This is one record that likely will never be broken, given the importance of image in our media-saturated society. (The reason why men like Chris Christie of New Jersey or Alan Grayson of Florida will never get anywhere near a Presidential nomination.)

6. Could be a myth. But it's no myth that they installed a bathtub in the White House big enough
for four average-sized men to accommodate Taft's girth...
